About Frequency

What is Frequency?

Frequency is a cultural entertainment brand for Swindon and the local area. Covering all areas of creativity and entertainment, films, music, dance, theatre, comics, and much more. Frequencyalive is the online version of Frequency magazine and radio show.

What will it cover?

The first stop for regular information on what is happening in the town: Factual articles on the town's creative ventures, Regular features on relevant local business and trade, An avenue for creators to get promotion of what they are doing, News and insight into relevant areas of the creative arts.

What will you find in Frequency?

The content will be split into different sections covering the following: films / art / music / comics / writing / photography / cinema / theatre / gigs / and so on, including diaries of events, gigs and reviews.

• Factual content - News stories on topics relevant to the areas that the magazine covers,
• Fiction content - Fiction, short stories and comic strips, tapping local talent to provide stories and comic strips. We are looking to get the audience involved.
• Small Ads - A dedicated section for posting small adverts; selling ads, want ads and so on.
• Reviews - Reviews of a wide range of topics from, bands, clubs, theatre, plays, cinema and more. Anything that is deemed relevant to the target audience.
• Guides - A "what's on" guide; again this will be relevant to the target audience.
• Advertisements - The magazine will be funded through advertisements. All advertisements will be of relevance to the intended audience and the content.

The actual content of the magazine is an evolving entity and as the magazine grows more of the above will be added. If there are things that you think should be included please let us know.

The Frequency radio show?

Every week The Frequency radio show airs in 107.7 Brunel FM bringing local arts and culture news, information, events and gigs. Guests and local bands playing live. It is the only radio show of its kind in the local area.
